URGENT: Members, we need your help!  We need candidates for the following positions: PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT. Our president has been serving for a while and currently we do not have a vice president due to Marianne’s passing.  Do we have any self-nominations for President or Vice President? Our president, Deb, has a lot going on, and we need your help.  Training will be provided.

We need a member who is interested in finding demonstrators for our meetings. If anyone has a suggestion for a demonstrator for our meetings please pass it on to Deb Haaf.

​

Beginning in 2027, we will have only opening receptions at Blue Mountain Vineyards.

​​Opportunities

The William Allen art alliance is holding their bi-annual small works fundraiser. Their mission it is to support and promote arts education for students at William Allen high school. There will be an art sale at Theater 514, across from the Civic theater on 19th St. on November 15, 2026, from 1 to 3pm and also online. They are looking for donations of art from the community and will accept anything up to a maximum of 18" x 24." They hope to get more than 60 original works. In the past, members of the Parkland Art League have donated Artwork. Please consider sharing a piece of your artwork for this cause. You are also invited to attend the sale on November 15. PAL member Rita Richetti and her church associates are raising funds to help children in Africa via the Touch a Life organization that has rescued trafficked children. Sell your work at the craft fair as a vendor or attend and buy some gifts for the holidays. Arts and Crafts Fair at St. Timothy's Church on Ott St. in Allentown on November 7 from 10-2.    Artists can have table space for $20, to sell work at no commission. A mission group from PAL member Rita Richetti's church will be going to Ghana, West Africa in July 2027. The mission supplies support for literacy teaching, therapeutic art, basic healthcare and small construction and repairs. Contact: Rita 908-892-0470.

There will be a Pop-Up Art Show and Sale at Stony Run on Sunday, November 15th from 12-5 pm. They will have music from 1-4 pm. The pop-up will be in the lobby area, part of the tasting room and, if needed, the side meeting room. If you wish to participate, please respond to Val Schramak by October 29th. --There will ALSO be a Pop-Up Art Show and Sale as a part of Stony Run's ‘Winter Wine-derland’ Celebration, December 19 & 20 This will be held in their banquet room where they will have music both days and a brunch buffet from 12-3 on Sunday. You can participate one or both days. If you wish to participate, please respond to Val Schramak by November 30th.

​Mural Painting in Emmaus!  Are you interested in assisting?  Jill Stanley mentioned at May's meeting that we could assist in painting a mural. Contact Jill or Melissa with the Emmaus Arts Commission if you are interested.

Ilene Rubin will be facilitating a new open studio for Bethlehem Palette Club beginning Wednesday, January 7th, 10-1pm, where artists may work on their own unguided projects at their own pace. It will run every Wednesday at Seidersville Hall (the community center building), Lower Saucon Township Building, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Ample free parking is available. It is free for all Bethlehem Palette Club members. If you are a member of BPC and are interested in attending, contact Ilene at Ilene@IleneRubin.com. RSVP on an ongoing basis is not necessary. NO instruction, bring your own supplies and snacks/lunch.

Rita Richetti is teaching a six-part series at Art of the Woman in Emmaus on the third Sundays of each month from 1-3:30pm. July's artist is Monet; August is Grandma Moses; September is Edgar Degas; October is Frida Kahlo; and November is Mary Cassat.

​​​​​​​​​​Rose Mavis is continuing her oil classes at Art Beat Cafe on Thursday Afternoons.

Deb Garlicki's ""Bethlehem, PA., Celebrates America" received an Honorable Mention in the Bucks Fever Art & Sculpture Exhibition  at Peddler's Village in Lahaska.

​Margie Kavchok won the People's Choice award at Blue Ridge Vineyard for May-June.  Congratulations.

​Joy Barnes and Janet Dance share a studio at Juxtahub in Emmaus. Congratulations!

Parkland Art League was well represented at the LAA Winter Exhibit! Congratulations to all! Joy Barnes, Karen Benco, Janet Dance, Howard Ellsworth, Sylvia Roth, Ilene Rubin, Jill Stanley and Kay Stauffer were juried into the exhibit.

​​Congratulations to PAL members who had work juried into LAA's 90th Anniversary Celebration Show at the Allentown Art Museum.

Deb Garlicki sold "Lake Flower" from her display at Luther Crest.

Deb Garlicki sold two paintings on wood at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center's Migration Fest Sept. 19.

​

Deb Garlicki sold an oil painting in the Tinicum Arts Festival in Bucks County held July 11-12. 

​

Jill Stanley, Deb Garlicki, Liz Kenny, Karen Benco and Sylvia Roth were in the Baum Auction Art Show and sold their paintings. 

​

At Blue Mountain Winery, Linda Kreckel sold 2 paintings, Icy Reflections and Baby Bluebird, and Joy Barnes sold Wildlife 3.  Liz Kenny also sold 1 painting at BMV 

 

At Lower Macungie Library, Linda Kreckel sold 2 paintings, Winter Tree and Lanark Road Snow.
