Welcome to the Parkland Art League

About Us

The Parkland Art League is a group of artists whose objectives are: to encourage friendship among persons interested in art, to awaken and sustain their interest in art and to exhibit the art of our members. In addition we offer the public the opportunity to purchase original art.  Members are provided opportunities to advance their skills by offering a lending library of instructional DVDs, having exceptional artist demonstrators at monthly meetings and hosting workshops taught by artists who excel in their craft. CLUB HISTORY

Upcoming Events and Meetings

Closing Receptions at Stony Run Winery, October 15, 5-7 pm and at Blue Mountain Vineyard October 24, 4-6pm.

October meeting on the 7th, will be a demonstration by our very own, Rita Richetti, starting at 7pm.

Rita is a veteran visual artist, formally from the farmlands of NJ and currently located in Eastern PA. Stylistically, she stays close to realism but occasionally veers off and adds a bit of humor to her paintings. Her online studio includes paintings of florals, portraits, landscapes, studies of the masters, murals, and playful acrylic pours.

Over the years, Rita was awarded a BFA in drawing and two Master degrees in education. She worked in Special Education for over twenty years, first as a teacher, then as a supervisor and principal. During that time she raised four fine sons and founded “Arts Abilities” where she employed simple painting techniques to show people of all ages and ability levels that they too can produce pieces worthy of frames and permanent wall space.  Rita's goal is to unleash creativity in people through a variety of artistic expressions and media. Her services include: classical instruction for all levels, supported studio time, consultation and therapeutic support for students with special needs, plein air events, and art parties for any occasion.
